Istanbul Egyptian Bazaar

Most of tourists know the Grand Bazaar. The Egyptian Bazaar is a bit less famous but really worth it. The architecture is beautiful, the bazaar and market stalls are clean. You will find some jewels, shoes and scarves sellers, but this is not the main attraction. This place is mainly selling food. Variety of spices, delicacies, loukums, olives, cheese, date, tea leves, figs etc... A real pleasure for the eyes with so many colors and for the sense of smell.

The Egyptian Bazaar is located at the end of Galata Bridge, in the Eminomu quarter, a good spot to visit before or after your cruise on the river. The Egyptian Bazaar is open everyday until 7pm. Make sure to visit in indoors of the Bazaar as well as the market stalls outside surrounding the building, which sells fresh food.
