Sultan Qaboos Mosque is definitly a spot not to be missed during your visit in Muscat. You will need a car or a driver to reach this religious symbol. Be covered, even for men. Legs, arms and chest have to be covered for both and women must cover their head, otherwise, you will not be permitted to enter. Take your own gears, I do not remember a shop where veils were borrowed. Be careful, Sultan Qaboos Mosque is opened to tourists only during mornings, it is better to go early around 8 or 9am to avoid crowd of tourists. The mosque is less impressive than Mosque Cheikh Zayed in Abu Dabi. Nevertheless, beautiful chandeliers and mosaics can be admired.
