Confeitaria Pasteis de Belem

Pasteis de Belem is a famous dessert in Portugal, kind of a flan pie with cinnamon. This is really delicious and must be tasted. You can queue to seat down in the tea room or buy directly the pasteis de Belem at the pastry store.

Alfama District
Alfama district is one of the oldest quarter of Lisbon, located on the top of the hill. From there, you can visit the old Castelo Sao George which offers great panoramic views on Lisbon and Tagus River.

If you want to try a Fado Diner, a restaurant where singer sing the famous but sad songs of Fado, a pleasant adress is the traditional restaurant of Casa de Linhares in Alfama.

Two great places in Alfama to enjoy a panoramic view on Lisbon and the Tagus River while drinking a cocktail are Chapitô a Mesa, very intimist, and Portas do Sol, which is more modern.
