Sri Lanka is a green country with lots of moutains, lush vegetation and of course hundreds of falls. Some of them require quite a walk, some others such as Ravana falls in Ella are very accessible and can offer you a refreshing swim in few minutes.
If you miss some time in Ella and the still want to admire some falls, Ravana falls can be a nice option. If you have the chance to explore deeper the country, I would recommend spending some time to discover other falls that are harder to reach but might be more impressive. Diyaluma falls in Demodara and Koslanda region, Lovers Leap in Nuwara Eliya and Ramboda falls between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya are other options to explore.
Ravana Falls are actually directly accessible from the road. We could even say they are litteraly on the road, which is quite a bit deceptive. However, the positive thing is that no walk is needed, you can have the foot in the water in few minutes only. Water is not too cold, you will easily have a swim, if you do not mind being surrounded by other tourits....
These falls are not an amazing memory but the more than easy access makes it a spot to visit on your way. We were staying at the Ella Jungle Resort and Ravana falls were on the way to Ella Town, Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. Then why not passing by ? :)
